| ATO Guidelines |
|
To meet the requirements of the ATO and ensure that no liability for FBT arises, the rented equipment must fall within the definition of “eligible work related item” under the FBT Assessment Act such as:
- a laptop computer, notebook computer or similar portable computer (only available for one computer per year per employee);
- a mobile phone or a car phone (provided they are used primarily in the course of the employee’s employment);
- a calculator;
- an item of computer software for use in employment;
- an electronic diary, a personal digital assistant or similar item; or
- a portable printer designed for use with a notebook computer, a laptop computer or a similar portable computer.

- Complete the Salary Maximiser Master Agreement form and return to TrueRent by fax on 1300 85 37 17.
- Finalise your products provided by BES.
- Launch to employees and let the Salary Maximiser team do the rest
